The Derma Dr is run by Dr Fauzia Arif, MEng, BM, DTM&H, MRCGP

I come from a humble background. Growing up, we didn't have much money and my parents instilled a high work ethic within me to work hard and achieve a better life. For that reason, I made sure I did well at school and was lucky enough to be one of the first in my family to go to University. I initially studied Engineering because I love science. However, after working in the engineering industry for a year, I knew I wanted to work with people so I retrained as a doctor that combined my love of science with working with the general public.

I completed my medical degree in  2011, and am currently working as a GP in the NHS. I have been involved in several medical projects in under-developed countries, and have complete a diploma in tropical medicine. However, after getting married and having a baby, I wanted to stay local rather than travel abroad for work and was able to pursue my interest in skin rejuvenation. This led me to train in aesthetic procedures and skin health in 2016.

 

I've worked at two different aesthetic clinics building my practical skills and knowledge. I set up The Derma Dr in 2019 and work in Woodford, London. My goal is to help people look and feel more confident in their skin. I find my job incredibly satisfying and love giving clients great results as we embark on a skin journey together.
